Morning Rain: A Prayer for the Church April 28, 2025 Coffee With Jesus Good Morning Lord, I love you! I rose early when the playful sound of distant thunder called me to the window. I responded with joy and appreciation for this moment of beauty shared between you and me. No human hand can paint the impressionist paintings you paint of our world viewed through rain streaked windows. I am in awe, thankful to have shared this moment with YOU and captured it with the camera in my phone.You winked at me in the rain and told me to pray for the Church.  I opened my Bible and looked for verses about rain. There are so many in both the Old and New Testament, about one hundred! With your guidance I settled my focus and meditation upon Leviticus 26:4 and Isaiah 55:10.  Leviticus 26:4 I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. TINY DANCERS, DERVISHES and DUST DEVILS

April 25, 2025 Coffee with Jesus Whirling Dervishes Good Morning Lord, I love you. Thank you for bright morning sunshine and hot coffee. Thank you for all the blessings you will give me today, those I notice and those of which I’m unaware. Some days the “tasks and to do’s” are so overwhelming and distracting. But there you are, in the periphery of my vision, catching my eye and thoughts for an instant. Your presence is so reassuring when I take a moment to look at you and talk to you. Lord, I’m troubled and overwhelmed by so many things today. Some are larger and louder than others, seeming more threatening and unnerving.  I’ve a new bible study to begin, bills to pay, medication boxes to refill, laundry to complete, taking my husband to activities he enjoys, financial decisions to make, official documents to apply for, appointments to make and  keep, blog entries to type, phone calls and letters long overdue.
